Private Yoga & Therapeutics
What is It?
A space dedicated completely to your nourishment. A collaborative opportunity to assess your current state on all levels of being, define your unique well-being goals, and resource you with a variety of teachings and tools to help you overcome the obstacles keeping you in dis-ease. This is not a talk therapy session or a bodywork service. Sessions will include applications of what I have been trained in thus far through the Inner Peace Yoga Therapy program.
What does a session typically look like?
The first stepping stone of a yoga therapeutics session with Katharine is a phone or video call consultation, in which we converse, get to know one another, and see if this is an appropriate fit. This is also a time to recognize where you are at and where you would like to be.
If at the end of this initial consultation there is a mutual feeling of moving forward, we will schedule our first session. I will send you an intake form to fill out prior to our scheduled meeting, which we will review more comprehensively along with engaging in deeper assessments in our first session. A typical session’s flow will entirely depend on what is happening in the moment for you, and will be a responsive experience with hopes to provide you with tools you can take with to care for yourself in any of your life experiences.
A session may look like…
Centering Practice (e.x. mantra (chanting/sounding/affirmation), kriya (cleansing practice), pranayama (breath extension practice)
Check-In
Responsive Practices to where you are at (e.x. asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra (energetic hand seals), visualization/concentration, guided meditation, guided relaxation, etc.
Reflection & Integration (how will this translate in your day-to-day?)
Wrap-Up Practice (e.x. mantra, mudra, intention setting)

I work with a sliding-scale; meaning if you are of a marginalized group, such as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Physically or Mentally Disabled, or in financial hardship, I am happy to work with you at an accessible rate. This can be discussed at the end of our initial consultation.
How does a small group session differ from a 1-1 session?
Small group sessions will hold a similar loose structure as do the one-on-one sessions (initial consult, intake form, and typical flow), but this will be in a small group of 2-5 people. This group consists of people who are experiencing similar symptoms and have similar goals (e.x. overstressed looking for relaxation). The small group could be people you know personally or you could request this and I’ll put the word out to my community to see if anyone else with similar experiences is interested as well.
Pricing:
90 minutes for $30-45 per person (dependent on group size)
Gentle Group Class
Online & In-Person Group Class employing stress release, gentle movement, breath extension, self-study, concentration, and guided relaxation practices.
